Convert fill to strokes

Asked by Antonio Roberts

I'm using the Inkscape/Silhouette extension to use a Silhouette vinyl cutter as a platting machine. https://github.com/fablabnbg/inkscape-silhouette/

It's really great at cutting outlines but I now want to use it to fill in shapes. To do this I imagine I would have to convert the fill into a series of strokes that the pen can follow. Is there a way to convert a fill into a series of strokes?
