Export Bitmap and the file is turning into PNG

I need my file to end up as a JPG, and when I use the export to Bitmap function it is saving as a PNG instead of a bmp. When saved as a bmp then I can right click and convert to JPG, but I can't do that to a PNG. Is there a setting I am forgetting to make sure it saves as a bmp.

export to bitmap only exports to png. You need to do the jpeg conversion from another soft.

You can use imagemagick convert *.bmp *.jpg or convert *.png *.jpg
