All you need - is 'Export' in menu 'File'. It will save all page or selection (as you wish) in PNG file with full support of assigned transparency.

How do you get the transparent background in the first place?

I'm new at this. I'm trying to make a logo with a transparent background. I've tried everything I can think of in File>Document Properties to eliminate the background and I keep getting white. What is the code for "no background?"

I also tried exporting, still no luck. Could you please explain in excruciatingly detailed detail how to just get the drawing and nothing else in a png? I need to get this up to a website.

Thanx
