how to vector images!

I want to upload pictures/images on to inkscape and vector them so i can use them on my design software....which is signpal expert! I dont know much about this process as other ppl ahve done it for me before! What do i do?

you cant try the automatic process, which sometimes gives good results..sometimes not
1.select your image
2.Path menu>Trace Bimap
3 Tweak the settings and click update to see the results or OK to apply them.

or you can trace (change to vectors) your image manually, here are some tutorials about it:
