Inkscape error message

I get the following error message
The preferences file C:\Users\Suzanne Dell\AppData\Roaming\inkscape\preferences.xml is not a valid XML document.
What should I do?

You can try renaming the file to preferences_old.xml and let Inkscape make a new file when it opens.

Feel free to share a link (via dropbox , etc.) to preferences_old.xml and we can examine for more details.
