Only Saving Partial Image

I am very new to Inkspace and having an issue saving. We have a plotter that can cut pdf, ve, or eps. When I open the picture it is only a very small portion of the picture in inkspace. Why is the whole image not saving?

Hi Heather,

please make sure that the picture in Inkscape is fully within the page area (which is the area with the grey border).

If this doesn't solve your issue, please upload two example files (Inkscape SVG and a screenshot of your pdf (via Save a copy... -> pdf)) to imgh.us and post the links in your next comment. If you happen to have google drive or another place where you can upload files and share them (or if you'd like to try out framadrop.org), then it would be helpful to also have the actual pdf file, and not just a screenshot of it.
