3 diffrent images laid in, when I embed the images they all change to the last image placed

Never seen this behaviour. If you can replicate it, please file a bug about it, attaching all the files.
Now to have the pictures back, you can open Edit->XML editor, select you image, you see xlink:href attribute, which value can either be base64 encoded image data like
"data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAABHwAAAMsCAYAAAAmobVWAAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAAZiS0dEAAAA"
or path to file like "/home/user/image.jpg" or relative path like "./image.jpg". Change these values youself and try attaching again.

or.. right click on your image >properties, and set the right path

 Thanks for your suggestions. I don't know anything about changing values , like what I would change them to, nor do I know anything about setting the right path, when I right on the image I do not see anything about setting the path.

I redid the images and went through the motions suggested, I did not change anything but it seems the problem is fixed.
I have opened and closed the program several times and the images remained fixed.

The problem is solved, not by any suggestions given.
I do not know what fixed the issue. Except I was editing the images with FotoFlexer and when I would save the png image Which I was doing 1 at a time, I would replace the last image saved with the new 1. After I finished placing all of the images i would save the file and close the program. When I would start the program and open the file all of the images would change to the last image placed

Bill, if you can replicate the original behaviour, please make a bug report about it. Provide it with all files and someone can take a look, so maybe next inkscape version will have it fixed.

Rico, there is no image path available in Properties dialog, when the image is embedded.
