Putting together previous svg files to create new ones.

Is there a way to create a new svg file using previously drawn svg files. That is, is there a way to create a new svg drawing based on a library of svg drawings?

Of course!
Use the File>Import menu to import your svg files on the same canvas.

You can keep the import dialog open and drag and drop multiple files from it onto your canvas, useful for composing a larger image. I think that tip is in the Help>Tutorials somewhere. They're worth working through!
