is there a way to put a picture of the file on the file folder so you can see it instead of the Inkscape logo on every file?

Hi Angela,

Yes, I think there exist extensions for the Windows explorer (if you are on Windows, that is) that enable an SVG preview. You would have to do a web search to find one that matches your operating system version.
