unable to print less than 2 pages

Asked by Ian Laing

Greetings,
I'm using Inkscape .46 on a Core 2 Duo iMac for the first time and am impressed but I am unable to print less than 2 pages. The screen shows only one page but in print it shows that two pages are present and so allows for collation etc.
The printer spits out one blank page and then prints the correct image on the second page. If I ask for 4 copies I get 4 blank pages then 4 prints.
Again, I'm using an iMac core 2 Duo running Leopard 10.5.5. The printer is a new HP Officejet Pro L7590 printing directly from the computer through a usb hub as opposed to printing Wi-Fi or on a network.
I've tried changing the print range without luck and I do not have the option of choosing "current page". Cover page is NOT selected. In "page setup" it displays 1 page to be printed but in "General" it displays 2 pages and asks if I'd like reverse the order of printing. Hope you can help.
Thanks for some great programs,
Ian Laing

This seems like an old bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/179845

Could you try the development version out, to see, if it isn't fixed there?

This bug is present in OS X 10.5.8 with Inkscape 0.46.

Elijah, you really should try the 0.47 out, it is far better. Also please note that nobody is going to fix the 0.46 version.

@mahfiaz - Thanks for letting me know. I just downloaded the latest stable version as I always do. Is 0.47 stable enough for me to use?

Just try I out. I have used it since July. It has been stable enough for me. Also, it already is in code-freeze state and the release is matter of weeks.
