When opening a file, get a blue screen then restart

Hi,

I have just installent Inkscape on a XP Family version.

When I want to open a file, the window for searching the file is opened correctly, but when I want to search the right floder, once I click on "My documents" or an other folder, I get a blue screen about half a second and my computer restarts. When restarted, I have a error message, "a critical error arrived" (or equivalent, I am french ^^).

Could you help me to get rid of this problem ?

I suppose your operating is somehow bad. No userland programs should be able to crash the kernel.
Is this the only case you get BSOD? You could also turn the "autorestart on BSOD" off and read the error message, this may explain what is causing this.

Can you help with this problem?
