Wasn't there realtime feedback when dragging knots on a spiro path?

Asked by andreb

I remember downloading an OSX build of Inkscape a month or two ago because I wanted to check out the new Spiro feature.
Also I remember that at the time working on a normal path and on a path that had been drawn with the Spiro option of the bezier/pencil tool was completely alike. As soon as you started dragging a knot of either path the path started updating visually in the viewport/canvas.

I downloaded and compiled a new revision yesterday night and found out that dragging knots on a spiro path does not trigger a display update until I let go of the mouse button (which ends the drag action). This makes it more difficult to pinpoint a nice distribution of knots for a spiro path.

Now my question: Is this by design or is this just happening with my self built version?

I am using Inkscape rev. 20325 on Leopard 10.5.5 with XQuartz 2.3.2-rc2

Thanks for reading.

Spiro paths are broken in current svg. At least a week ago these were.

Can you help with this problem?
