Inkscape menus are all in french for no apparent reason

I downloaded Inkscape from the standard Inkscape site onto my Mac running OSX 10.4.11. My computer's standard language is English; however, for some reason, Inkscape is all in French. I can't find any way of changing the language- my French isn't good enough to find it if it exists.

(On another Mac running 10.5, I downloaded it the same way- but the version stated for 10.5, of course- and didn't have this language problem).

You could delete fr.mo file from inkscape's directory. Most likely your system setting for LANG is fr.
