Asked by Clay

I've tried to create a curve on my text by creating a circle and text, then selecting both objects and using the "text to path" function, but I need my text to be on the inside of a curve, not outside, and all I can seem to make happen is get the text to go on the outside of the curve. Help, please!

Select both objects (text must be on top) and press ALT+W (text>flow text in frame).
It will make it.
You can edit the container shape later and the text will flow inside to adapt to the new shape.

Well, this puts the text inside the object, but not on a curve. I need the text to follow the curve and be on the inside. My goal is to get text that will stand upright (Like This) but curve in a U shape.

To change which side the text goes you would need to reverse the path. (Path - Reverse)
To get it under the path you need to use invisible modified path, so text goes on it.

I think I've figured it out. At least a way that works for me. Rather than trying to put the text inside a circle, free hand an upward arc and the text seems to curve to that the way I want, although not always completely perfectly. If there are any other suggestions feel free.

You could also convert circle to path.
