Installing Inkscape for Windows XP

Asked by John Bonar

I have downloaded and extracted Inkscape 0.46. The readme files mean nothing to me. I need an exe file or a install wizard file to install this programme and get using it. Where do I find it. Or is there a self-install download available somewhere?
Thanks

Inkscape for Windows XP can be found at inkscape.org. The exe file you were looking for is at http://downloads.sourceforge.net/inkscape/Inkscape-0.46.win32.exe . I hope this helps.

You probably downloaded the 'Source tarball' file. Sources need to be compiled to be useful, which can be a pain in the neck.
