Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to scale several objects at a time and have them stay where they were drawn. If only one object is selected, this is not a problem. It does what I want, but if several are selected and I for example scale them to 50%, they whole group scales to 50% and I have objects which are 50% smaller (correct), but they aren't where I want them to be.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You need to use "Object->Transform" dialog and enable the "Treat each object separately" checkbox (the bottom one). That will make each object retain its base point.
