How to make invitation?

Is it possible to make invitations with Inkscape? And where can I find the ruler guide?

I made these, http://www.barefoot-ceramics.co.uk/kids-pottery-party#invitations, pottery painting party invitations for folk to download using Inkscape.

View > Show / Hide > Rulers (Ctrl-R is the default key combination)

To add a guide you simply drag it from one of the ruler bars. To adjust a guide you double click on the guide and a dialog box pops up for you to make adjustments in.
