I want to copy an image from one document and use it in another, please help.

I have a logo designed and saved to a doc. and I want to add it to a ribbon I created in another, any ideas? Thanks for your time.

You can copy and paste things from one Inkscape document to another, as long as both are open in the same Inkscape instance. So open one document, then open the other using the File Open dialog from the first one, and then you should be able to copy the logo to the ribbon document.

Alternatively, open the ribbon document, then import (File -> Import) the logo document.

Thanks, the first suggestion worked. As for the second one, I did file import and it opened up a dialog box that I was not too familiar with yet. It was in the inkscape folder, but it had a few subfolders in it that didn't seem to lead me where I wanted to go "data, doc, etc, lib, locale, modules, plugin, python, and share. I just finally migrated to vista from xp and I'm still trying to get used to the setup here.
