engraving not lining up with orientation points

Asked by Michael Huntley

when using path to gcode everything works great. when using engraving nothing lines up with orientation points and sometimes text gets out of line with each other as well . even when grouping them together. Never fails in path to gcode. never right in engraving. Please help. after applying engraving the overlay is always way out of line, when using regular gcode is always overlayed properly. and never scrambled. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Micheal,

I'm not sure, but I /think/ you might be asking for support for the GCodetools extension, which has an 'Engraving' option at Extensions -> GCodetools -> Engraving.

The extension itself, in the 'Help' tab, contains a link to the forum where the developer gives support for it (http://www.cnc-club.ru/gcodetools). This is where you can find the people who will probably know how to help you.

When you ask there, please indicate your Inkscape version and operating system, too.

I'm sorry that I can't give you any other answer, but I've never used any of the plotting / cutting / engraving functionalities of Inkscape.

Kind Regards,
 Maren
