.92 can't save defaults.svg file

I want to save changes for my document properties. I'm using version .92. System won't let me save changes to default.svg.

Hi Irene,

at least on Linux, that is normal. You would need to be root user / administrator to be allowed to edit the files that are installed with Inkscape.

The solution is to create a directory "templates" in your Inkscape user preferences directory, and save your custom "default.svg" into that directory.

To find where you need to create the templates directory, go to Edit -> Preferences -> System: User config
