Hi Bram,

can you please upload an example file and a screenshot of your paintbucket tool's settings in the tool control bar (i.e. a screenshot of the interface when you use the tool) to imgh.us (image file hosting service)?

What's your operating system?

Kind Regards,
 Maren

I cannot paste a screen shot, but i can type it, but it is in Dutch:
Vullen met Zichtbare kleuren grenswaarde 5 Verdikken/verdunnen met 0,00 px gaten opvullen geen.

I don't know how to check my oparating system.

p.s. I ask this question in englisch so more people can understand it so I can hopefully have a quick answer.

Thank you for the settings.

Without an image it's difficult for me to understand what is going on.

Could you retry to make a screenshot and upload it to your favourite website?
You can use imgh.us or http://imgur.com/ or dropbox or google drive or any other website - as long as you paste a link to the image into your answer here.

Your operating system can be Windows, Linux, or OS X, and it probably has a version number or version name. Does this help?

Regards,
 Maren

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, this is what I get to see:

Maybe you need to make the picture public or something?

Can you please also upload an image of the problematic fill, before and after using the bucket tool?

Regards,
 Maren

And please also tell us about your operating system and your Inkscape version (I would have read that from the svg file, but it doesn't seem that you would like to share that).

Maybe this workes.
Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) 1.1 (Second Edition)nThis is my SVG. as far as my version goes, I think it's the latest one.
My operating system is Windows 10.
By the way, thank you for Taking your time for helping me.

Oh, I was referring to the Inkscape version, sorry that wasn't clear... :/ But from the screenshot, it looks like you're using Inkscape 0.91.

Can you also post the requested 'before' image, or even better, the SVG itself? If dA doesn't support uploading SVG, I think you can zip it and then upload.

 Maren

http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/

When i open my inkscape guide it says Fourth Edition 0.16 (Documenting Inkscape versions 0.47 and 0.48)

I hope this can help you further.

Unfortunately, it doesn't :/

Your Inkscape version number is 0.91, which I can see from the tools that you have available in your screenshot.

I still need either the SVG file, or at least a screenshot of how the object looks before you do the filling.

 Maren

Hi Bram,

> If this isn't the SVG then can you please tell me how to get there.

The SVG file, which might help solve the problem, is the file you are working on in Inkscape.
Please include two versions of the object:

- one filled by the bucket tool
- one before it was filled

Thank you.

 Maren

Hi Bram,

for example, you can:

1. Visit http://imgh.us/
2. Click on the button in the top left corner (see screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/eCypYJE.png)
3. Find the file on your disk, then select it, then upload it.
4. Paste the link to the file which you then get into a comment here.

And please include two versions of the object:

- one filled by the bucket tool that shows the problem
- one before it was filled

Kind Regards,
 Maren
