Inkscape .91 freezes upon opening every single time

I am running Inkscape version 0.91 on Windows 8.1.

I open Inkscape (takes it a long time to load, and sometimes multiple attempts).

I generally begin by pasting a graphic from a website (like google) or from Corel PSP XI into Inkscape. I can select one tool and perform one action. Usually zoom. When I move the cursor to the left side of the screen to select a different tool, nothing happens. Additional tools can not be selected and other actions can not be taken. The program allows me to move the cursor and open the menu up top, but nothing else.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Inkscape many different times over the last several months. This has not fixed the problem.

A year ago, I was using Inkscape very frequently on this same computer with no issues at all.

Do you happen to use the 64bit version on Windows?

If so, switching to the just recently released Inkscape 0.92 may help.

I am running the 64bit version. Thank you so much for pointing out the new release. I hadn't noticed it! So far v 0.92 seems to be working. Thank you!!!
