There's no way through the regular interface to use another font measure but pixels. You can change the size of a specific text object to points using the XML editor, but Inkscape will convert it back to pixels. To change a text object's size to points in the XML editor, do the following:
~ Select the text object.
~ Press Shift+Ctrl+X to bring up the XML editor. The text object should be highlighted.
~ In the right-hand pane, look for the "style" attribute. Click on it.
~ Now the bottom text area will contain the entire style attribute. In there somewhere should be "font-size:??px". Change that to "??pt" for whatever point value you want.
~ Press the "Set" button located just above the bottom text area.

Like I said, Inkscape will convert the value back to pixels, but the text object should be the size you want.

Hi, Kurt.

Tnx for help. It's possible to change this values using the simple text editor too. And the points will not transform to pixels in this case.

Best regards.
