Find (Ctrl+F) function is too difficult to use

Asked by carlo

Would be great if the Finf function could work in an easier way, without having to type the string of the svg code to search.
thanks

Can you be more specific about what you'd like to be added? A drop-down list of all the ID's in the svg file?

Please make this into a Bug report/Feature request https://answers.launchpad.net/inkscape/+question/41778/+makebug and add more info there.

this could help.
everything that could enable you to select everything with a specific color or linetype or width or whatever else, just with a drop down list or picking properties from an existing object in the drawing.
this may be really useful for pdf exported from programs such as autocad or similar.
thanks

I've tinkering with this idea were the attributes are set from the Fill&Stroke dialog or picking them from an existing object. It could help to select text with some determined parameters using the Text dialog, too.
