Inkscape

Missing icons built 29/07/08

I downloaded Inkscape from trunk yesterday (29 July 08) but upon opening it most of the icons are missing. New Document, Open, Print, Copy, Cut, Paste are all present but all other icons in the toolbars are missing (red x). Most icons in menus are also missing.

In share/icons icons.svg is present, also in Build/share/inkscape/icons/

I'm using X11 1.1.3, OS X 10.4

Any help much appreciated.

Things were changed recently to load and use icons via standard mechanisms in GTK+. What you're seeing is probably a bug due to platform specific behavior. It's seen on OS X, but not on Ubuntu.
