Hallo Michael,

if I understand correctly, you'd like to see the relation between the different amounts of dies needed in CMYK color space to compose the drawing, e.g. 20% of all colors needed to print the design is Cyan, 10 % is Magenta, 50% is Yellow, and 20% is Black. Did I get that right?

As I don't know too much about CMYK workflows, where is this kind of info needed?

Inkscape doesn't supply any functionality for this, currently (also, it only supports CMYK color space for printing if used together with Scribus, see http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entry/getting-cmyk-colors-from-inkscape-to-scribus).

Kind Regards,
 Maren

You have it right. In Adobe, it can be seen in Output preview. Is needed to
see any composition making up the artwork. It allows to see and change the
percentage if off from what is needed.

Hi Michael,

if you need this functionality in Inkscape, you can make a feature request in the bug report section:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape

Be sure to describe in some detail what kind of functionality would be helpful for you and the use case (e.g. why it is important to know that ratio).

However, as far as I know, there is currently no developer focusing on any kind of CMYK issues, but improvements in that area are often requested.
I think that the general issue of 'improving CMYK workflow and output' could maybe also be a candidate for Inkscape's 'Funded development'. For more info, see here: https://inkscape.org/en/support-us/funded-development/
Maybe creating an incentive could make someone from within (or from outside) the Inkscape community consider investing time into this.

Kind Regards,
 Maren
