how do I get shapes to stop showing up as transparent

Asked by Justin Baba

I am new to inkscape and I am not sure what I did while trying to rotate an elipse but I somehow change the rendering such that all solid shapes show up as transparent when placed on the drawing canvas. I need help getting solid shapes to show up as solid again.

Hi Justin,

there are two kinds of transparency in Inkscape: Opacity of the whole object and Alpha, a property of the object's color (fill, or stroke color).

But there are also other things that can cause objects to look transparent.
For a tutorial about this, please see:

Kind Regards,

Hi
Do your objects appear totally transparent, that is invisible ? Or maybe they show outline only ?
in this case try Ctrl+Keypad5 to toggle the display mode..
