Gradient Printing

I'm new to this program and graphic design, so please bear with me.

I've typed out text and I'm trying to use the gradient tool. The stroke is black, the fill is radial gradient, colors are black and white. What I'm running onto is when I print the document, the letters are boxes of black ink. With Fill as white or no fill and the stroke black, it prints fine. I'm not sure if its a box I'm not clicking or if its a printer issue.

Hi Darius,

no, this is not an oversight on your end, it's a known bug in Inkscape 0.91, Windows 64bit version:
