extrude function

i am using inkscape on my pc and am wanting to use an extrude tool.

i have seen one listed as available, but unsure as to how to proceed.

Hi Daniel,

select two objects (they must be paths, if necessary, convert to path first Path -> Object to Path), then go to Extensions -> Generate from Path -> Extrude.
