Didn't Save File, Very Important I Recover It

Hi there, I was working on a file just about an hour ago, a VERY important file, that had a lot of new designs in it for my business, and for some reason it just crashed out of no where. I've tried to look for any recovery files saved on my C drive, however I can't locate ANYTHING. Please help. This is very important.

Hi Idalia,

if Inkscape didn't say where it saved a backup file in the crash dialog, then it crashed so hard that it wasn't able to save a backup file.

Saving regularly is a general recommendation for users of any software.
Inkscape can do that automatically for you if you activate the autosave functionality in the settings (Edit -> Preferences -> Input/Output -> Autosave).
