installing fonts and dingbats into inkscape

Please can you tell me how to instal fonts and dingbats into inkscape. I am using MS Vista, thanks

I have downloaded the fonts and dingbats to a folder on my desktop but I don't know how to get them into Inkscape

Just install them in Windows, and Inkscape should then be able to use them next time you start it up (except that it won't be able to use the dingbat fonts because of bug 165665, but there's not much you can do about that).
