saving all documents as word files

All of my Inkscape files are saving as Word documents in html format.

I tried going into the templates file in Inkscape through the C: drive and all of the default template types have the Word Icon beside them.

How can I change the defaults back to the original settings?

Hi JenayBass,

please look at the files' file extension. If it is still 'svg' and not 'doc' or 'docx', then it's not the file itself that has changed. Instead, the program your computer chooses to open svg files has changed.

You can fix this setting by right-clicking on one of those files and selecting the program you want to open it with.
