Editing path by node on grouped objects

Asked by John

If i have a multiple objects

Say multiple triangles inside of a rectangle—and then i group them all into one object.

How do I then edit the nodes of the one singular object?

I have a rectangle with drawings inside all grouped, and id like to bend the rectangle (like you would bend a straight line) How to I bend both the rectangle, and all objects inside, while keeping proportion and position?

Thank you!

Hi John,

Editing grouped objects:
====================

Click on the object with the node tool to select it alone, or select it by holding Ctrl down and clicking on it.

Or you can double-click on the group to enter it, or select the group and hit Enter, then click on the single objects as usual.

Morphing groups:
==============

Try the bend path effect. Make sure that all members of the group are actually paths (convert to path by hitting Ctrl+Shift+C or by getting there via the menu: Path -> Object to Path).

Kind Regards,
 Maren
