Inkscape crashes (runtime error) everytime I try to paste an image.
I am using the newest version of Inkscape 0.46 and I have Windows XP. I have been using Inkscape successfully since March. Yesterday it started crashing everytime I tried to paste an image. As soon as I right-click paste or go to file paste a window pops up and says the following:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program C:\Program Files\Inkscape\
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Then as soon as I hit "OK" another window comes up as says:
Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now.
I have reset my computer several times and Inkscape continues to crash. I also see that Inkscape is taking up a lot of memory. Upon opening the program and then opening up the task manager, Inkscape is using 69,992K of memory. Also, when I go to "About Memory" in Inkscape under the Help section it says:
standard malloc() - unknown, unknown, unknown
libgc - in use: 4,317,184 slack: 561,152 Total: 4,878,386
combined - in use: >4,317,184 slack: unknown Total: >4,878,386
I hope this makes sense. I honestly don't know what any of these numbers mean. I am unsure how to clear or reset the memory if that is what is making the program continually crash. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
