How do I use an Inkscape .png for a web banner? HTML?

Asked by schmidt.brandonm

I'm trying to add a banner that was created with Inkscape to a message board. It's asking for the HTML code I think? How do I do this? Has anyone created a web banner with this program?

It depends from forum to forum, the best is too ask in your forum. From what you say this is not Inkscape related per se. Maybe what it asks you for is the address to the file? You have to store the file in a host like imageshack and enter the address to the file in your profile.

This is not a banner or avatar for me personally. This is intended to be the logo for the forum itself, and I'm doing the design for a friend (his forum). The best information I have to offer at the moment is that he has told me it is asking for the HTML.
