Can I upload or import a new font?

Want a font that Inkspace does not have. DaFont has it and I have it downloaded to my computer but cannot figure out how to get it into Inkspace.

Hi Carol,

Inkscape only uses the fonts that are installed on your computer. Install a font like you normally do, restart Inkscape (in some cases, it may be necessary to reboot the computer), then find it in the list.

To find out how to install a font to your computer, please refer to the documentation of your own operating system - there are so many different ones, and they all have different folder structures and font install procedures. E.g. I only need to right-click on a font file and select 'install font', but that may be totally different for you.
