The function plotter plugin doesn't generate a curve

Asked by shiva

I am running inkscape 0.46 on windows. I have been trying to plot sin(x)/x with 100 samples.
This however results in no output (the division by zero at f(xstart) is killing it). Is there a way to circumvent this problem?

Use a small, non-zero number for the Start x-value, i.e. 0.001
Interestingly, Inkscape will round the display of this number to zero when it draws the curve and afterwards, even entering zero will not trigger the previous error at zero.

Yes, the problem solved itself when I later chose the start x value to be -20, and
, as you've said, later on I could even use start x to be 0.

Thanks for all the help
