Insert a pic or object

I have a plan of offices and I want to insert a pic on each room.
How can I proceed?

If the images you want to insert are truly in .PIC format then I believe you may need to convert them to a format that Inkscape can understand, ie. .JPG, using either the original app that generated the images or a converter.
Otherwise, images are added to Inkscape drawings via File-Insert and choosing the file you want to import.
