Reducing toolbar size

Asked by Karlisson

Sugestion: You could group related icons in mini-windows, that appears by clicking in a general related tool. For example:
Clicking on the Pen Tool, it shows a tiny window (with only a minimal close button) with the caligraphic, bezier and free-hand-like tools icons, like in Corel Draw or Illustrator.

The upcoming 0.47 version has options to choose toolbar size for all three toolbars

Oh...I've seen the release page already....that's not what I'm talking about... how long the solution will be choosing a different size to the toolbars? There's a new rubber tool coming, and a lot more of space needed. In the future, will be a new tool, and other tool, and there it goes... the Inkscape status bar doesn't show in my monitor 1024x768 because of this. I use a different set of icons and the option to shrink the toolbar didn't work with them =(
Don't you think it's better to group related icons in mini-windows, like Corel ou Illustrator does?
