Wrapping Text Around an Image

Can you help me arrange text around an image. I am new to Inkscape but like what I have seen so far. I am designing a cover for a book and would like to place the author's image and the author's bio around that image. Can you please help me do that?

Scribus (a DTP project closely affiliated to Inkscape) is good for wrapping around image. It allows you to edit a frame around which text can be wrapped automatically.

In Inkscape I'd use the kerning tools, Try putting your cursor in a text area and using Alt with the cursor keys, this will move text around relative to it's normal position in the flow.
