Hello. Indeed SVG files can be converted to JPEG files. In order to do that you need to use Inkscape (you can install it with synaptic). Open your SVG file with Inkscape and then go to the menu File > Export as bitmap. The created file will be in PNG format. You can then use GIMP or another image viewer to convert it into the JPG format.

Depending on your setup you may be able to right-mouse-click on the image file in your file manager (eg Nautilus, Konqueror, Dolphin) and select "action" or "convert" and choose the convert to JPG option. If you want tighter control, use a raster application (Gimp, Krita), as Jean-Remy said.

Can you help with this problem?
