Right, Inkscape only sees a single node (tested with 0.91 on Linux Mint 17.2), while firefox, gwenview and gimp see a path that describes a check mark.

Please search the bug reports (here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape) and, if there isn't one about this yet, turn this into a bug report. Don't forget to mention your Inkscape version and operating system.

(usually I'd do the searching myself, but I don't have the time for this currently)

Thank you!

Regards,
 Maren

It's likely https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1284409

(caused by the absence of spaces before negative number in arc attributes in path data)

Can you help with this problem?
