Inkscape

I can't open any svg in Inkscape. It keeps saying 'Error'

I just downloaded the 32-bit installer on Windows 10 and am trying to open any of my .svg files. When i try it says 'Failed to load the requested file' Am I using Inkscape wrong or downloaded it wrong or are the files not correct? I tried downloaded a sample .svg file and it also does the same thing.

not sure :/ I've never heard that it doesn't work at all on Windows 10.

Are your svg files saved in some weird folder (e.g. on a network drive, or in a folder with strange letters)?

The first thing I'd try would be to re-download and re-install (and maybe try the 64bit version, if your computer is 64bit).
