when I save my vector to.eps why doesn't flexi recognize the vector just the page?

Asked by Rodney Born

I have made a vector in inkscape .svg and saved it to an .eps also. When I open it in Flexi or Illustrator the image comes across but when I try to print it or cut it I get "there is no cuttable image" all that shows at that point is a blank page.

Hi Rodney,

First idea:
your image may have been rasterized on export.
To avoid this, take extra care to not use any blur in your image, or other filters - those lead to rasterization on export to eps. Make sure the exported image is still vectorized by examining it in Illustrator or Flexi.

If this doesn't help, then while I've got no idea what Flexi is, could you try to find a file that works with it and one that doesn't, so that we might get there by a simple comparison? Upload those two files to a file hosting service and post a link here. (Attachments will not work).

Kind Regards,
 Maren
