stroke info not retained in spiral tool

When using the circle, square, etc tool I can select my stroke characteristics before I create my object, but when I create a spiral I always get a minimal initial spiral which I can then edit the stroke width and color on, but when I go to create the next spiral all those settings are lost.is there any way to retain the stroke settings from object to object in the spiral tool?

when you double click on the spiral tool you get to the prefs of this tool; by default it uses "this tool's own style", contrary to rectangles etc which use "last used style".
