english, exported but didnt save in svg

I forgot to save my work as an SVG and only exported it. Is there any way to turn it back to an svg?

Hi Yvette,

unfortunately, there's no perfect way to turn a bitmap image back into a vector image.
You can either re-create it, trace it manually or let Inkscape trace it automatically.
Automatical tracing will only trace the colors. It will not produce a vector file with gradients or editable text.

To prevent these problems in the future, you can make sure you save as "Inkscape SVG", and also enable Autosave (Edit -> Preferences -> Input / Output -> Autosave).
