Asked by hervejb

I am looking for a t-short design for template for use with spreadshirt.com. Every design I create is too small/cannot be enlarged. Help. Thanks.

You need to increase the resolution when you export the PNG file. 90 dpi should be OK for a T-shirt design. Also check your paper size in Document Properties. If you have already created the design but the exported file is too small, bump up the resolution until you get some meaningful size (like 1000x1000 px).

I think i was too vague. The problem that I am having is the following: (1) I create a design. (2) I do "export bitmap". (3) I upload to spreadshirt.com. (4) When I try to apply the design to a t-shirt the design is super small and cannot be enlarged. What am I missing/doing wrong?

A bit late, but I just arrived.. Disclaimer: I work for spreadshirt.

As we support bitmaps with resolutions up to 3000x3000px, you should upload as big as possible image within this limit. I go to "File" -> "Export bitmap", then under "Bitmap size" I find the largest of height and width and fill in 3000 instead of the highest value. This will give you a png that is max size, and which you then can resize to fit your needs.

I would encourage you to upload vector graphics if you can though. The flex/flock prints you can then use has a nicer quality than direct to garment which we use for bitmap images. For more info on uploading vector graphics you can check out our FAQ here: http://www.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Service/Help-1328/categoryId/46/articleId/35

Can you help with this problem?
