Hi bosshogg,

that's definitely possible, but the quality of the result will depend on the type of image and how the text is put in front of the image.

If you have copied a raster image from the web (e.g. a jpg, png, bmp, ... file), then you'd better use a raster graphics editor (e.g. the Gimp or another program made for editing this kind of image) for removing any text from it. Inkscape will only allow you to hide that text, not to really remove it.

If you have copied a vector image (e.g. svg, pdf, ai may contain vector contents), you should be able to select the text object and delete it using backspace or Ctrl+X or Del.

Kind regards,
 Maren
