How do I make the "Fill and Stroke" module unattached (floating?) to the Inkscape app?

Asked by methuselah

My Inkscape recently upgraded and now the "Fill and Stroke" (Shift+Ctrl+F) is attached to the right side of the app (and so are all the other things like "Align and Distribute" and "Icon Preview").

They used to be un-attached and would pop-up individually so I could minimize it to my panel or move them around my workspace... like the way GIMP has a few different windows open at once.

I just want to detach it so I can have "Align and Distribute", "Icon Preview", and the "Fill and Stroke" all floating and open at the same time as I work on icons.

I'm not sure of what setting in Preferences will do this for me.

Thank you.

Open the Fill and Stroke dialog. Grab the dark grey bar where the icon and the dialog title are displayed and move it until it undocks. When you close the undocked dialog and open it again, it will be undocked (it will remember whether it was docked or undocked). You can also have a dialog docked in another dialog.

Can you help with this problem?
