Hi jpwilliard,

in the text tool's tool controls bar, there's a field with the hover text 'spacing between lines', see

Kind regards,

How do you do this in 0.92? That option has been removed and when using the new control it won't go to single spacing between the lines of text. This is horrible.

@C.Spengler:

The option for setting the line-height has not been removed. Instead, it has now an additional option to set the unit of the line-height.

However, this option currently doesn't load relative units correctly from the preferences file, due to a bug.
Here you can find a description of the changes:
http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Release_notes/0.92#Line_Spacing

And here is a more in-depth discussion with a list of the associated bugs (which refer to loading older files from Inkscape versions <= 0.91, but not to creation of new text):
http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Line_Height_Bugs

This bug report is the one for the relative units:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1645016

In this discussion at inkscapeforum.com, you may also find some valuable information:

Hope this helps disentangle the issue a little.

Kind Regards,
 Maren
